A craft beer brewery has accompanied the Balkan Rally
Did anyone think we were going to support a car race as a craft beer brewery? A few years ago, it would have been unthinkable, since drinking and driving are two activities that should be kept apart. Not only have consumer demands changed, but so have we, as we now have a non-alcoholic West Coast IPA beer that we are very proud of and it seems we are not alone. The official beer of the III. Balkan Rally was none other than Free Flow!
But let's see what this special car race is all about, which crossed the Balkans for a week, starting from Budapest. The III. Balkan Rally, the region's biggest classic car and motorcycle race, started on the 6th of September from Budapest and welcomed 160 participants with 52 cars and 34 bikes for the challenge. The route passed through four countries, touching Novi Sad, the ski resort of Kopaonik and Montenegro's Durmitor National Park, before reaching the Adriatic coast. The race's challenges and adventures were made exciting by mountain serpentines, changing weather and historical sites, and concluded with a gala and awards ceremony. Not to mention the drool-worthy vehicles the participants set off on this adventure. Check it out.
We didn't stop at Free Flow! We dressed up our White Passion mango and passionfruit Bavarian wheat beer in the full design of GoBeyond, who organise adventure tours for explorers, and are the official organizers of htis rally as well. After all, there are other beers that fit in the hands of co-pilots. Right? Not to mention that our beer taps added to the evening's spirits, as we toured our smaller mobile bar, where we've represented the Fehér Nyúl (White Rabbit) brand in the Balkans with several of our draught craft beers. We were told that the beer flowed every night and there was nothing to complain about. You know how it goes.
According to the organisers, this year's rally proved once again that there is an open international audience receptive to the Rally organisers' mission to bring the beauty of the Balkan region to travellers from other parts of the world. Competitors and participants were treated to a unique experience, as the Balkans is an off-the-beaten-path destination, an amazingly rich area full of natural wonders, hospitable people, quality gastronomy and accommodation. Once again, we thank them for allowing Fehér Nyúl (White Rabbit) to join such a high quality event and send our congratulations to the contestants and winners alike!
After a remarkable conclusion of the III. Balkan Rally, the organisers are already preparing for the 2025 event, which will run from Budapest to Dubrovnik, via Slovenia and Bosnia, for which enthusiasts of classic cars and motorbikes can already register.
